PreBallet  ages 5+   Pre requisite Intro to Dance Ballet

This class uses preprimary and primary ballet curriculums to teach
and reinforce the core building blocks of dance that form the foundation
of ballet training. Ballet fundamentals are presented using both
structured and free-form activities. Dance patterns are presented using
a practice & play approach to learning.

Focused attention is given to ballet vocabulary, matching movement to
music and familiarizing students with the stories of classical ballets.
Costumes and props are used to encourage imagination and self-
expression through dance. Preballet provides a fun learning
environment for students to achieve their ballet goals -- at their own
pace -- and feel proud of their accomplishments!  
Attire: Girls: Pink Cap-Sleeve Leotard, pink FOOTLESS tights and pink
ballet slippers.  
Boys: White short-sleeve t-shirt, black shorts or dance
pants, white socks and black ballet shoes

Ballet I/II   ages 7+   Pre requisite for children younger than 7.5 yrs is
PreBallet  or prior equivalent training.

Designed for the beginning dancer age 7+ with prior early childhood
training -- or those age 8+ who are just starting out – Ballet I/II gives
focused attention to core dance concepts and the fundamental building
blocks of classical ballet – ballet vocabulary, barre, body awareness,
use of turnout, and developing strength and flexibility.  Level I technique
and center practice introduces students to classical and contemporary
ballet dance patterns and how to match music with movement to
express ideas and feelings.
Attire: Girls: Black Tank Leotard, pink footless tights and pink ballet
slippers. No dance skirts.
Boys: White short-sleeve t-shirt, black shorts
or dance pants, white socks and black ballet shoes.

Ballet II    ages 10+ or pre requisite Pre requisite:  Ballet I, or
demonstrated equivalent training.

Barre, and Center Practice are the focus of this advanced beginner I
ballet class. Designed as a multi-year course of study, this class
reviews ballet fundamentals and quickly moves beyond to focus on
classical ballet technique that students consistently recognize,
understand, and independently apply. Emphasis is placed on applied
ballet vocabulary, mastery of barre fundamentals, carriage of the body,
use of feet and turnout. Center practice introduces dancers to the
classical ballet curriculum: Center tendues, adagio, classical
variations and dance patterns, jumps, and turns.
Attire: Girls: Black Tank Leotard, pink footless tights and pink ballet
slippers. No dance skirts.
Boys: White short-sleeve t-shirt, black shorts
or dance pants, white socks and black ballet shoes.

Ballet IIIA w/ pre pointe
Pre requisite Ballet I and II or equivalent training

Building on demonstrated abilities in knowledge of ballet vocabulary,
advance barre, use of turnout and port de bra, this class focuses on
the core curriculum necessary for mastering a repertoire of
secondary ballet technique that students consistently recognize,
understand and apply -- at the Barre, in center practice, in
performance or in preparation for future pointe work. Focused
attention is given to body alignment, turn-out, exercises for muscle
development and strength plus the precise use of feet necessary to
support pointe work.
Attire: Pinch front leotard, light pink tights and pink ballet slippers.
Boys: White short-sleeve t-shirt, black shorts or dance pants, white
socks and black ballet shoes

Ballet IIIB w/ Pointe   
Placement at this level is determined by the instructor and based on
an individual assessment.

This Level III advance ballet class is designed for students with 5+
years of ballet training beyond level one. (or equivalent demonstrated
abilities). The class includes advance barre and center floor
exercises that build strength, increased flexibility, and promote fluidity
of movement. Center practice includes upper level adagio and
allegro combinations, jumps, turns and classical ballet variations.
Attire: Girls: Pinch front leotard, light pink tights and pink ballet
slippers.
Boys: White short-sleeve t-shirt, black shorts or dance
pants, white socks and black ballet shoes

Ballet IIIC w/ Pointe
Placement at this level is determined by the instructor and based on
an individual assessment.

Restricted to students who are also enrolled in Ballet IIIB w/ Pointe
(as part of a twice a week program) Adult students with 5+ years of
extensive ballet and point training may attend this class only with
instructor approval.
